The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eduardo Jerrald stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Urbano Pirro's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Salvador Fagildo took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto Odon. Fausto Odon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Salvador Fagildo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Fausto Odon made a huge save. After 15 played minutes Casilda got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Isias. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Venerando in the 16th minute of play forced Casilda's goalkeeper Fausto Odon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 played minutes Club Deportivo Esperanza got a freekick which was hit by Julio Cugat. Julio Cugat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Fausto Odon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Urbano Pirro in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eduardo Jerrald saved Club Deportivo Esperanza from getting behind. Fausto Odon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Sidoro in the 24th minute of play. Casilda's Urbano Pirro got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Casilda's Orlando Osorio quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Albino Senon, made in the 29th minute of the game. In the 31st minute, Urbano Pirro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Casilda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Casilda's attentive Orlando Osorio managed to snatch the ball when Albino Senon made a throw-in in the 35th minute of the game. Casilda's Fausto Odon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Casilda from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Casilda defense, Lucas Venerando kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fausto Odon. The Casilda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fausto Odon should have stopped the shot. Julio Cugat received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fausto Odon came out and tried to block the shot, but Julio Cugat slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 53 minutes Casilda's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ceferino Favila who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Club Deportivo Esperanza's corner Ceferino Favila fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fausto Odon quite easily take care of the ball. Fausto Odon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Cugat, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Urbano Pirro in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Jerrald prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Urbano Pirro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Eduardo Jerrald made a huge save. Generoso Sidoro charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Generoso Sidoro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Generoso Sidoro hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Esperanza's Lucas Venerando got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Lucas Venerando's late challenge caught a Casilda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Venerando helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Deportivo Esperanza getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Lucas Venerando hit a great ball. In the 78th match minute, Casilda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Oihenarte to maneuver through the defense. The Club Deportivo Esperanza fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Club Deportivo Esperanza's Julio Cugat looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 88th minute Lucas Venerando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Odon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fausto Odon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Fagildo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the match, Casilda's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Venerando came free, but Fausto Odon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Urbano Pirro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eduardo Jerrald having to make a save. Casilda's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
