The crowd rose to their feet as Revisá Futbol Club's Ceferino Benino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eduardo Jerrald. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. In the 22nd match minute, Revisá Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ildefonso Miliano to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Julio Cugat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diego Castaño was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Lucas Venerando fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportivo Esperanza's protests and gave Lucas Venerando a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Revisá Futbol Club defense, Lucas Venerando kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diego Castaño. The Revisá Futbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diego Castaño should have stopped the shot. The referee gave Club Deportivo Esperanza a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. Diego Castaño was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
