The audience was convinced that Alfredo Mingo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anier Barrionuevo was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Gervasio Urbasa charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gervasio Urbasa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Monaco getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Gervasio Urbasa hit a great ball. In the 14th minute Monaco were awarded a corner. Maximino Naike went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience cheered when Maximino Naike's long shot passed Christian Chuse's right side. It was 1-1, 15 minutes into the match. When Alfredo Mingo came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the CAVAÑA ARBOLITO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Mingo couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Aritza in the 19th minute of play forced Monaco's goalkeeper Anier Barrionuevo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24thth minute of the game Diego Aritza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monaco's Anier Barrionuevo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Alfredo Mingo managed to get in a good position for a shot. CAVAÑA ARBOLITO's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Mingo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anier Barrionuevo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Reynaldo Eli managed to get in a good position for a shot. CAVAÑA ARBOLITO's supporters rose to their feet, but Reynaldo Eli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anier Barrionuevo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 40 minutes, Alfredo Mingo made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Monaco's Anier Barrionuevo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Monaco's Carmelo Tome slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Christian Chuse. That made the score 2-4 after 44 minutes of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-4 lead.

The wind increased when Blas Brais made the kick off in the second half. Teobaldo Guib's late challenge caught a CAVAÑA ARBOLITO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teobaldo Guib helped the player get up and apologised. A long shot from Reynaldo Eli in the 52nd minute of play was well struck, but Anier Barrionuevo made a really good save at the right post. Anier Barrionuevo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Aritza in the 55th minute of play. Reynaldo Eli's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Anier Barrionuevo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Bernardo Lander came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the CAVAÑA ARBOLITO fans jumped to their feet. Bernardo Lander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Anier Barrionuevo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Monaco's goalkeeper Anier Barrionuevo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reynaldo Eli. After a defensive mix-up in Monaco's zone, Alfredo Mingo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anier Barrionuevo came out of the goal and Alfredo Mingo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 66 played minutes Monaco got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Jax. The crowd rose to their feet as Alfredo Mingo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anier Barrionuevo. That made the score 2-5 in the 67 minute of play. Anier Barrionuevo made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Bernardo Lander sent off a good shot on target. Anier Barrionuevo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Aritza's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Diego Aritza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Anier Barrionuevo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Lander might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anier Barrionuevo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Lander ran back to his position shaking his head. Diego Aritza struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Anier Barrionuevo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CAVAÑA ARBOLITO. In the 91st match minute, Monaco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervasio Urbasa to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the match, Monaco's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Aritza came free, but Anier Barrionuevo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anier Barrionuevo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Lander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Monaco's Anier Barrionuevo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Monaco from getting a goal against them. CAVAÑA ARBOLITO's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
