A collision led to Club Atlético River Plate getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Christian Ignatius hit a great ball. In the 10th minute of the match Artemio Urtun sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teodoro Paublo skillfully saved the ball. Roque Sauveur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Placido Jacindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pastor Alonso hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Teobaldo Manny's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodoro Paublo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teobaldo Manny in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teodoro Paublo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético River Plate's Cristo Etor got a free kick in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the game, Aguilares City's Simon Franco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodoro Paublo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Teodoro Paublo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Franco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Teobaldo Manny left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aguilares City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Simon Franco made a kick off. Teobaldo Manny scored 0-3 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodoro Paublo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 56 played minutes Simon Franco rounded Club Atlético River Plate's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. After 59 minutes of play, Aguilares City's Teobaldo Manny made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodoro Paublo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Simon Franco was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 65th minute. Aguilares City's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 69th match minute, Club Atlético River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Etor to maneuver through the defense. Simon Franco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Paublo having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Teodoro Paublo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Teodoro Paublo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Simon Franco's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 77th match minute, Aguilares City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artemio Urtun to maneuver through the defense. Teobaldo Manny could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Teodoro Paublo made a huge save. A collision led to Club Atlético River Plate getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Cristo Etor hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Franco in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodoro Paublo saved Club Atlético River Plate from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Aguilares City's Artemio Urtun got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Simon Franco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Club Atlético River Plate fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Aguilares City were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
