With his leg Achebe Aguele managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when El Rayo's Lucio Valentine fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ismael Paez made in the 14th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by El Rayo's Guaberto Gizon. Lucio Valentine might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Achebe Aguele. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucio Valentine ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 26 minutes, Saul Garikoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Rayo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Garikoitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. El Rayo's Lucio Valentine was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 29th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Eloy Chepe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dante Balasi in the 34th minute of the match. Lucio Valentines short, quick shot in the 41stth minute got Achebe Aguele to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 43 minutes into the match, El Rayo's Lucio Valentine sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Achebe Aguele narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 44 minutes, Saul Garikoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Rayo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Garikoitz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Theobald FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Hector Crescencio hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute, Lucio Valentine made a precise shot to the right of Achebe Aguele. Theobald FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Lucio Valentine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Achebe Aguele didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucio Valentine went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After 65 minutes, Lucio Valentine made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Theobald FC's Achebe Aguele tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Valentine in the 71st minute of play forced Theobald FC's goalkeeper Achebe Aguele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualterio Ciano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Balasi hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Guaberto Gizon kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Lucio Valentine made a precise shot to the right of Achebe Aguele. Theobald FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. In the 83rdth minute of the game Lucio Valentine who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Theobald FC's Achebe Aguele was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Lucio Valentine fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Rayo's protests and gave Lucio Valentine a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Theobald FC booed when El Rayo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Valentine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Achebe Aguele stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucio Valentine's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Theobald FC's Achebe Aguele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Garikoitz in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute El Rayo were awarded a corner. Adrian Playo went to the cornerflag to take it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. El Rayo had played much better football throughout.
