Ivan Rykov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Macerio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Fulgencio Jerano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Fernan Salvidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernan Salvidor was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Teofilo Orain capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Teofilo Orain really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 23rd minute, Ivan Rykov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Miguel Macerio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The supporters of PierRock booed when ARECO2 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Rykov didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to ARECO2 FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Blas Olivar hit a great ball. A hard shot by Benedicto Jaen from long distance, 31 minutes into the match, got Fernan Salvidor's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ariel Ieltxu charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ariel Ieltxu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. ARECO2 FC's Fernan Salvidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulgencio Jerano in the 36th minute of play. ARECO2 FC's Ariel Ieltxu got his second yellow card of the match in the 37th minute. The referee ordered Ariel Ieltxu off the ground. After 37 played minutes ARECO2 FC got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Ieltxu. When Ivan Rykov came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the ARECO2 FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Rykov couldn't finish the play. ARECO2 FC's Fernan Salvidor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save ARECO2 FC from getting a goal against them. Fernan Salvidor was a little too slow when Teofilo Orain got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 2-2.

With a little luck, PierRock's Miguel Macerio got control of the ball when Ivan Rykov tried to sneak it across the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Fulgencio Jerano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernan Salvidor. ARECO2 FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fulgencio Jerano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. 63 minutes into the game, PierRock's Teofilo Orain nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernan Salvidor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. In the 70th match minute, PierRock was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixto Poz to maneuver through the defense. With 72 minutes on the clock, Celedonio Isidor commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 71st minute of the game. One of ARECO2 FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of PierRock:s goal. Benedicto Jaen placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Fernan Salvidor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulgencio Jerano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Tano charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Tano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. ARECO2 FC's Fernan Salvidor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Orain in the 83rd minute of play. Fernan Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fulgencio Jerano in the 86th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sixto Poz during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eugenio Azevedo's late challenge caught a PierRock's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugenio Azevedo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute Teofilo Orain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernan Salvidor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 97 minutes of play, PierRock's Teofilo Orain made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernan Salvidor was left in no man's land by his defense there! PierRock's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
