After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético River Plate's zone, Ivan Rykov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Paublo came out of the goal and Ivan Rykov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of ARECO2 FC booed when Club Atlético River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Ignatius didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, ARECO2 FC's Fernan Salvidor got control of the ball when Baltasar Gil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fernan Salvidor made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Placido Jacindo sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Ivan Rykov sped through Club Atlético River Plate's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Teodoro Paublo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reynaldo Astudillo during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Rykov in the 32nd minute of play forced Club Atlético River Plate's goalkeeper Teodoro Paublo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Club Atlético River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Sauveur to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute Ivan Rykov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Paublo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ARECO2 FC's Ivan Rykov got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Atlético River Plate were furious when Leon Ubendu was red carded, 42 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Club Atlético River Plate fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! In the 45th minute there was a penalty for ARECO2 FC. Ariel Ieltxu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Teodoro Paublo. 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Placido Jacindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Fernan Salvidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivan Rykov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Teodoro Paublo made a huge save. Ivan Rykov took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodoro Paublo. Teodoro Paublo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. In the 66th minute, ARECO2 FC's Martin Tano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Teodoro Paublo made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Ivan Rykov sent off a good shot on target. Roque Sauveur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Placido Jacindo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Salvidor having to interfere. If Placido Jacindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Rykov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Teodoro Paublo made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Martin Tano managed to get in a good position for a shot. ARECO2 FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Tano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodoro Paublo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Club Atlético River Plate's Teodoro Paublo got control of the ball when Ivan Rykov tried to sneak it across the goal line. ARECO2 FC played a much better game than Club Atlético River Plate and deserved their victory. The Club Atlético River Plate players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
