The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Diego Guerau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achebe Aguele having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Carlos Nafarroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Diego Guerau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Achebe Aguele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Guerau, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Achebe Aguele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Abadie in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Theobald FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Nafarroa came free, but Achebe Aguele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Theobald FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Diego Guerau was slow to take the kick. During this time C.A.Talleres's players had a chance to rest. When Virgilio Eutor fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A.Talleres's protests and gave Virgilio Eutor a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, C.A.Talleres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Eutor to maneuver through the defense. Achebe Aguele made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Guerau in the 22nd minute of play. When Saul Seme came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the C.A.Talleres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saul Seme couldn't finish the play. Diego Guerau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Theobald FC's Hector Crescencio got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Guerau in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Achebe Aguele prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Achebe Aguele came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A.Talleres's Abel Abadie. But to his dismay, Abel Abadie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Achebe Aguele showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Guerau, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Guerau in the 42nd minute of play forced Theobald FC's goalkeeper Achebe Aguele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Saul Seme during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Theobald FC booed when C.A.Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saul Seme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Achebe Aguele stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Guerau's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Diego Guerau made the kick off in the second half. Theobald FC's Achebe Aguele proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Theobald FC from getting a goal against them. When Diego Guerau came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the C.A.Talleres fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Guerau couldn't finish the play. C.A.Talleres's Manuel Arnalt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dante Balasi in the 65th minute of play. Hector Crescencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Manuel Arnalt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute Abel Abadie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achebe Aguele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hector Crescencio came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Theobald FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Crescencio couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 78 in the game by Diego Guerau from a close distance when the talented Achebe Aguele managed to make a qualified save. Theobald FC's players were relieved. In the 83rd minute Hector Crescencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Arnalt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnaldo Tirso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manuel Arnalt having to make a save. 90 minutes into the match, Theobald FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Guerau came free, but Achebe Aguele reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Saul Seme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Achebe Aguele showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Guerau in the 94th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Saul Seme managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A.Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Saul Seme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Achebe Aguele breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
