The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Salvador Aimar kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Clemente Abancens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Darien in the 4th minute. In the 10th minute, Monroe AFC's Carlos Darien dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 14th match minute, Lecueder was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolo Magdaleno to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Monroe AFC's Carlos Darien ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Clemente Abancens. Clemente Abancens yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The supporters of Lecueder booed when Monroe AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Estevez didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Eusebio Handi put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Clemente Abancens. The supporters of Lecueder booed when Monroe AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Handi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Lecueder was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Pelayo to maneuver through the defense. Vicente Ramone took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Clemente Abancens. Lecueder's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 36th minute, Vicente Ramone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Darien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Clemente Abancens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Monroe AFC got a freekick which was hit by David Rey. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Enzo Lander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Nevada having to interfere. Clemente Abancens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Darien, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Monroe AFC's Eusebio Handi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clemente Abancens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Basilio Montae could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Fidel Nevada made a huge save. The supporters of Lecueder booed when Monroe AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Estevez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruno Bilintx had several of the Monroe AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 61 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 5-1 score and a disappointed Fidel Nevada as he didn't even see the shot coming. Esteban Pelayo hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Lecueder's Clemente Abancens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Darien in the 70th minute of play. Carlos Darien recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute of the match, Bruno Bilintx got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fidel Nevada was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Basilio Montae recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clemente Abancens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Darien in the 90th minute of play. Ermegildo Soter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Fidel Nevada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
