An unexpectedly hard shot by Santiago Lando in the 31st minute of play forced RAFAELA CREAMERS's goalkeeper Hilario Nahia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was a penalty for UNION 1989 FC! Omar Luix shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. If Santiago Lando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

51 minutes into the game, Anier Musko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UNION 1989 FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RAFAELA CREAMERS the free kick. Anier Musko kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After 90th play minutes Santiago Lando shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Hilario Nahia and just under the crossbar into goal. Bartolo Lastur's late challenge caught a RAFAELA CREAMERS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bartolo Lastur helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of RAFAELA CREAMERS booed when UNION 1989 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Lastur didn't get a good kick on the ball. RAFAELA CREAMERS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
