Carpinteros lml's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aguirres FC the free kick. A collision led to Carpinteros lml getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Ruben Louis hit a great ball. Arnaldo Demesio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Frances in the 42nd minute of play. Basilio Jaen's late challenge caught a Aguirres FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Basilio Jaen helped the player get up and apologised. Basilio Jaen hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ezequiel Frances was the one to do the kick off. Jonathan Berto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. But to his dismay, Lisandro Santxol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 66 minutes of play, Carpinteros lml's Ruben Louis made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Uriel Gora was left in no man's land by his defense there! Basilio Jaen might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Uriel Gora. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Basilio Jaen ran back to his position shaking his head. Guillermo Micael kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Uriel Gora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Santxol, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After having played for 80 minutes, Basilio Jaen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carpinteros lml's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basilio Jaen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lisandro Santxol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Lisandro Santxol sped through Aguirres FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Uriel Gora. Arnaldo Demesio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davide Alleva, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Aguirres FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
