Eriberto Indartsu came out of the goal and Cecilio Mateo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin-Daniel Palermo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eriberto Indartsu having to make a save. Boca Srs's Eustacio Obano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Vicente Giro, made in the 15th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Boca Srs's Cecilio Mateo got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 16th minute, Candido Asteri sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Boca Srs's Qian Bo Yan didn't even have to move. A wasted opportunity for Boca Srs. 33 minutes into the match, Martin-Daniel Palermo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eriberto Indartsu. Pirata Cordobes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin-Daniel Palermo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the match was over Boca Srs could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pirata Cordobes FC throughout the match.
