When Rigoberto Sergi fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caminito FC's protests and gave Rigoberto Sergi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd minute Orlando Cai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Gelmiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orlando Cai made a kick off. After 55 minutes, Cleto Munio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jackeños and the Caminito FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th minute, Cleto Munio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Paulino Edur's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristo Charro was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. In the 92nd match minute, Jackeños was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilario Montel to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 99 minutes, Hilario Montel took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Everardo Gelmiro to make any attempt to save it. Jackeños played a much better game than Caminito FC and deserved their victory. The Caminito FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
