The Sueldos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lino Gau should have stopped the shot. Yosua Cabezas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lino Gau having to interfere. Lino Gau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Dalström in the 37th minute of play. When Nicolas James fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sueldos's protests and gave Nicolas James a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Nicolas James hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the game, Yosua Cabezas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Lino Gau was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mauricio Lope sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47thth minute of the game Ingvar Dalström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sueldos's Lino Gau was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yosua Cabezas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
