In the 9th minute, Santo Oihenarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute, Victorino Dolcet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guaberto Jaizki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Abaurre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Romeo Romo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guaberto Jaizki. Sabagasta AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romeo Romo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Victorino Dolcet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Sabagasta AFC defense, Raul Abaurre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guaberto Jaizki. The Sabagasta AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guaberto Jaizki should have stopped the shot. In the 27th match minute, Sabagasta AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Miro to maneuver through the defense. Guaberto Jaizki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Abaurre in the 30th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Flavio Boni left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sabagasta AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Humberto Handi kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to Sabagasta AFC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Humberto Handi hit a great ball. Academia de Nueva Italia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorino Dolcet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Academia de Nueva Italia were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Sabagasta AFC's Guaberto Jaizki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Sabagasta AFC from getting a goal against them. After 52 played minutes Sabagasta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Santo Oihenarte. Raul Abaurre struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Guaberto Jaizki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia de Nueva Italia. Carolo Egoi hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Leonel Cristos didn't quite understand what happened when in the 62 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Victorino Dolcet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Guaberto Jaizki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Victorino Dolcet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victorino Dolcet got free with Guaberto Jaizki in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 81 minutes, Victorino Dolcet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia de Nueva Italia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorino Dolcet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 83 played minutes Sabagasta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Handi. After 85 played minutes Academia de Nueva Italia got a freekick which was hit by Victorino Dolcet. In the 89th play minute Victorino Dolcet came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Guaberto Jaizki. 1-3. The supporters of Academia de Nueva Italia booed when Sabagasta AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Miro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Academia de Nueva Italia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sabagasta AFC.
