The supporters of FRANCORCHAMPS booed when Jarimana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Ralondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arsenio Loreto struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Celestino Abarca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FRANCORCHAMPS. Kristóf Gulyás made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Freddy Harriet sent off a good shot on target. Rogelio Loiola charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogelio Loiola the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Jarimana's Rogelio Loiola got a free kick in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Jarimana's zone, Isaias Gonzo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celestino Abarca came out of the goal and Isaias Gonzo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jarimana's Celestino Abarca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Eggenschwiler in the 41st minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Freddy Harriet to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Patrick Eggenschwiler notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Jarimana's Celestino Abarca. Celestino Abarca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jarimana's Celestino Abarca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Jarimana from getting a goal against them. Raul Eusko who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Celestino Abarca when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Patrick Eggenschwiler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Arsenio Loreto fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FRANCORCHAMPS's protests and gave Arsenio Loreto a yellow card for diving instead.
