Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfonso Ekain in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adan Cordaryal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Universidad Buenos Aires's Gaylord Pika got control of the ball when Leandro Evarado tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Universidad Buenos Aires defense, Ariel Chan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaylord Pika. The Universidad Buenos Aires fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaylord Pika should have stopped the shot. If Alfonso Ekain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victorino Mon in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adan Cordaryal saved Bebecito from getting behind. After 82 played minutes Bebecito got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Chan. 85 minutes into the game, Bebecito's Leandro Evarado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaylord Pika made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. In the 90th match minute, Bebecito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Arixo to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute of the match, Alfonso Ekain tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Adan Cordaryal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Universidad Buenos Aires were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Bebecito's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Agustin Oskarbi took the corner. The Universidad Buenos Aires supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Universidad Buenos Aires would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
