Arnoldo Jordy's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Baunicmax's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnoldo Jordy helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th match minute, Universidad Buenos Aires was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciriaco Martinez to maneuver through the defense. Club Atletico Baunicmax's Oscar Osoitz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Universidad Buenos Aires. Iker Matia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basilio Idacio in the 17th minute of play forced Universidad Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Gaylord Pika to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on Universidad Buenos Aires's corner Agustin Oskarbi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Angelino Fernandez quite easily take care of the ball. After 31 minutes of play Universidad Buenos Aires's Arnoldo Jordy was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 31 played minutes Universidad Buenos Aires got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Jordy. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iker Matia couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the match, Universidad Buenos Aires's goal looked a bit too open when Basilio Idacio came free, but Gaylord Pika reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Club Atletico Baunicmax fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Club Atletico Baunicmax's Basilio Idacio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfonso Ekain to make the kick off. The Universidad Buenos Aires fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaylord Pika should have stopped the shot. Alfonso Ekain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Club Atletico Baunicmax getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Virgilio Obano hit a great ball. Gaylord Pika made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Iker Matia sent off a good shot on target. In the 89thth minute of the game Basilio Idacio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Universidad Buenos Aires's Gaylord Pika was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute, Ciriaco Martinez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Club Atletico Baunicmax's Oscar Osoitz tried to score from far away in the 94th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After having played for 95 minutes, Basilio Idacio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Baunicmax's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basilio Idacio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Club Atletico Baunicmax eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
