Spectators: 7377 (Terracing: 5534, Seating: 1696, VIP seats: 147) Muñoz FC's Godofredo Brun started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tiburcio Eron didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciriaco Martinez went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Muñoz FC booed when Universidad Buenos Aires was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciriaco Martinez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute, Celestino Alfonso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfonso Ekain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaylord Pika made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Etxatxu in the 27th minute of play. Muñoz FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pedro Heriberto in the 29th minute. After taking down the ball on Muñoz FC's corner Alvaro Etxatxu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gaylord Pika quite easily take care of the ball. Tiburcio Eron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Ekain in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Elvio Unax got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Elvio Unax had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaylord Pika. Universidad Buenos Aires's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elvio Unax was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Godofredo Brun struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Gaylord Pika didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Muñoz FC. Universidad Buenos Aires's Gaylord Pika played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvio Unax in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Muñoz FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Eron had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorino Mon. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfonso Ekain to make the kick off. Muñoz FC's Tiburcio Eron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Ekain in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute Victorino Mon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Eron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Universidad Buenos Aires's Melchor Cresencio got a free kick in the 60th minute. If Elvio Unax had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Universidad Buenos Aires's zone, Alvaro Etxatxu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaylord Pika came out of the goal and Alvaro Etxatxu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Godofredo Brun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Universidad Buenos Aires's goalkeeper Gaylord Pika had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elvio Unax. Godofredo Brun blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gaylord Pika having to make a save. Gaylord Pika made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Elvio Unax sent off a good shot on target. Godofredo Brun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Gaylord Pika tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victorino Mon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute.
