The crowd rose to their feet as David Trezeguet kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aquiles Berto. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. A collision led to C.A Costa Azul getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. José Luis Spinetta hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Hanni in the 11th minute of play forced C.A Costa Azul's goalkeeper Maximo Lauro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MDB King were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after C.A Costa Azul's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Amadeo Laurgain took the corner. Antonio Sol kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Hanni in the 25th minute of play forced C.A Costa Azul's goalkeeper Maximo Lauro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the C.A Costa Azul defense, Gregorio Hanni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximo Lauro. The C.A Costa Azul fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximo Lauro should have stopped the shot. In the 30thth minute of the game Gregorio Hanni who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A Costa Azul's Maximo Lauro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maximo Lauro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Ekain in the 33rd minute of the match. With a little luck, MDB King's Aquiles Berto got control of the ball when David Trezeguet tried to sneak it across the goal line. David Trezeguet did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-2 to the left of a surprised Aquiles Berto 42 minutes into the match. Tomás Sá could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Aquiles Berto made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Trezeguet to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Dacio in the 52nd minute of play forced MDB King's goalkeeper Aquiles Berto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eduardo Ekain hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. MDB King's Diego Rocendo got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute, David Trezeguet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A Costa Azul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Aquiles Berto came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A Costa Azul's Tomás Sá. But to his dismay, Tomás Sá quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Gregorio Hanni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximo Lauro having to interfere. Aquiles Berto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Sá, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 83 minutes, David Trezeguet made it 6-2 with a short kick to the right side. MDB King's Aquiles Berto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of MDB King booed when C.A Costa Azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Louis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th match minute, MDB King was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Rocendo to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. C.A Costa Azul fully deserved thier win.
