Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lavalle's Silvestre Lawrence started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Lavalle booed when Congreso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Rioja didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Lavalle getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Tomás Gines hit a great ball. Congreso's Saturnino Hermon couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 39th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lavalle. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Segundo Tab to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Congreso's Benicio Eliazar made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo Cuarto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arnoldo Oro came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Lavalle's Esteban Errolan. But to his dismay, Esteban Errolan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Reynaldo Cuarto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Tab in the 58th minute of play. Silvestre Lawrence received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Arnoldo Oro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Congreso's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Lawrence came free, but Arnoldo Oro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Congreso's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Silvestre Lawrence 67 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-3. If Segundo Tab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute Benicio Eliazar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Cuarto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
