But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gualterio Lucila couldn't finish the play. 10 minutes into the match, Bosques FC's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Errolan came free, but Donato Gonza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abelardo Caetano helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bosques FC booed when Lavalle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Caetano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Bosques FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donato Gonza should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Lavalle getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Emilio Indalecio hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gualterio Lucila got free with Reynaldo Cuarto in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Reynaldo Cuarto made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Gualterio Lucila sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Lavalle's Emilio Indalecio got a free kick in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualterio Lucila in the 88th minute of play forced Lavalle's goalkeeper Reynaldo Cuarto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lavalle's zone, Gualterio Lucila stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Cuarto came out of the goal and Gualterio Lucila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the match, Bosques FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Jago came free, but Donato Gonza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute of the match, Silvestre Lawrence tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Donato Gonza saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Lavalle supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lavalle would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
