Denis Sotil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Iruinea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Basilio Orkatz charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basilio Orkatz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to KRAKEN A.C. getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Basilio Orkatz hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Iruinea in the 23rd minute of play forced KRAKEN A.C.'s goalkeeper Denis Sotil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Ambrosio Malvin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Madariaga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ambrosio Malvin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claudio Iruinea took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Denis Sotil. Denis Sotil dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The Madariaga fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Madariaga's Ambrosio Malvin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Madariaga booed when KRAKEN A.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Barrionuevo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Madariaga's Claudio Iruinea nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Denis Sotil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudio Iruinea in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Sotil saved KRAKEN A.C. from getting behind. Denis Sotil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Dimo in the 50th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teo Manex stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Donato Estebe charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donato Estebe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes KRAKEN A.C. got a freekick which was hit by Donato Estebe. With his leg Denis Sotil managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Madariaga's Ambrosio Malvin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sixto Matei kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When Ambrosio Malvin came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Madariaga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambrosio Malvin couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudio Iruinea in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Denis Sotil saved KRAKEN A.C. from getting behind. If Claudio Iruinea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Madariaga could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than KRAKEN A.C. throughout the match.
