Teofilo Orti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benicio Eliazar in the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Arnoldo Poncio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teofilo Orti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hipolito Rioja, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Teofilo Orti was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teofilo Orti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segundo Tab, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute Arnoldo Poncio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Oro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Congreso were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnoldo Poncio to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Congreso getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Epifanio Goi hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Congreso's goal looked a bit too open when Arnoldo Poncio came free, but Arnoldo Oro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fausto Niguel kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Filomeno Ponc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester Champagne F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Filomeno Ponc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benicio Eliazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Orti having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benicio Eliazar got free with Teofilo Orti in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 89 played minutes Congreso got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Emmanuel. After a rather tough play, Congreso's Benicio Eliazar got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Manchester Champagne F.C lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
