Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Segundo Tab started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A collision led to Congreso getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Leandro Peru hit a great ball. Fausto Niguel kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Congreso's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Silvestre Lawrence fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Congreso's Arnoldo Oro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Lawrence in the 10th minute of play. If Segundo Tab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reynaldo Cuarto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Tab in the 14th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Congreso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hipolito Rioja to maneuver through the defense. Esteban Errolan in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arnoldo Oro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Congreso's Benicio Eliazar got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Lavalle defense, Benicio Eliazar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reynaldo Cuarto. The Lavalle fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo Cuarto should have stopped the shot. Arnoldo Oro made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Esteban Errolan sent off a good shot on target. Reynaldo Cuarto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benicio Eliazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Congreso's Arnoldo Oro got control of the ball when Esteban Errolan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, one of Congreso:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Segundo Tab fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Cuarto having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 51st minute Esteban Errolan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Oro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Celestino Ofelio fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lavalle's protests and gave Celestino Ofelio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Lavalle's Celestino Ofelio got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 57thth minute of the game Silvestre Lawrence who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Congreso's Arnoldo Oro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Tomás Gines was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lavalle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Congreso the free kick. Tomás Gines kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After 67 played minutes Lavalle got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Caetano. 69 minutes into the match, Benicio Eliazar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reynaldo Cuarto. Lavalle's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benicio Eliazar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Benicio Eliazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Reynaldo Cuarto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Congreso's Segundo Tab got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 76 in the game by Benicio Eliazar from a close distance when the talented Reynaldo Cuarto managed to make a qualified save. Lavalle's players were relieved. Segundo Tab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynaldo Cuarto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Segundo Tab went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 88th minute Esteban Errolan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Oro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Hipolito Rioja was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 93rd minute, Esteban Errolan made a precise shot to the right of Arnoldo Oro. Congreso's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Congreso eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
