Teodoro Mirande's late challenge caught a Desperado F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodoro Mirande helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th match minute, ACADEMICOS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Mirande to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Siro Fertus got free with Sorin Onitiu in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silvio Checa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sorin Onitiu having to interfere. When Alberto Elixio fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ACADEMICOS FC's protests and gave Alberto Elixio a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Orland in the 37th minute of play forced ACADEMICOS FC's goalkeeper Florentino Abecia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sorin Onitiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvio Checa in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute ACADEMICOS FC were awarded a corner. Bonifacio Dantel went to the cornerflag to take it. Luisito Figueroa tried in the 40th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Sorin Onitiu a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-0. Sorin Onitiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvio Checa's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Silvio Checa sped through Desperado F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sorin Onitiu. After 47 played minutes Desperado F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Gergori. After recieving a nice pass, ACADEMICOS FC's Bonifacio Dantel tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aureliano Eufrasio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Eustacio Ramirez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Desperado F.C.'s Miguel Claude couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for ACADEMICOS FC. ACADEMICOS FC's Teodoro Mirande got his second yellow card of the match in the 62nd minute. The referee ordered Teodoro Mirande off the ground. Teodoro Mirande kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Siro Fertus struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Sorin Onitiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ACADEMICOS FC. Siro Fertus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Sorin Onitiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Orland got free with Florentino Abecia in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miguel Orland's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Florentino Abecia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 77 minutes into the game, Aureliano Eufrasio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Florentino Abecia. Aureliano Eufrasio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. After 79 played minutes Desperado F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Gergori. Eustacio Ramirez charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eustacio Ramirez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd minute, one of ACADEMICOS FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ACADEMICOS FC. Miguel Claude shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Miguel Orland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Florentino Abecia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Desperado F.C. booed when ACADEMICOS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Elixio didn't get a good kick on the ball. ACADEMICOS FC's Florentino Abecia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Eufrasio in the 99th minute of play. ACADEMICOS FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
