Igor Txurio hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Aquilino Frances acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 19th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Norberto Eyague. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Ciriaco Maties managed to get in a good position for a shot. Porland's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciriaco Maties was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquilino Frances breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rene Ugaitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Aquilino Frances tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquilino Frances showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionisio Cutberto in the 30th minute of the match. Ciriaco Maties sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Ugaitz in the 61st minute of play forced La Dropeta's goalkeeper Aquilino Frances to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aquilino Frances took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Ugaitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rene Ugaitz might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aquilino Frances. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rene Ugaitz ran back to his position shaking his head. Cecilio Bittor charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cecilio Bittor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cecilio Bittor hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Aquilino Frances didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfredo Ferdinand went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score.
