Godofredo Cefero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Evarado, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Godofredo Cefero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roman Frasco went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Abbott AFC's Roman Frasco got a free kick in the 26th minute. A collision led to Abbott AFC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Roman Frasco hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Faustino Salomone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Godofredo Cefero was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. If Arturo Dolcet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, Basilio Venceslas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Abbott AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Mate Amargo the free kick. Basilio Venceslas kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Justino Ordono stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Raulo's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After some careless play in the Deportivo Mate Amargo defense, Marcelo Evarado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Godofredo Cefero. The Deportivo Mate Amargo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Godofredo Cefero should have stopped the shot. Edgard Ler was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Paulino Silviano made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mate Amargo's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Frasco came free, but Godofredo Cefero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Mate Amargo's Godofredo Cefero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Mate Amargo from getting a goal against them. Godofredo Cefero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Frasco in the 69th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florencio Sotero got free with Godofredo Cefero in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Godofredo Cefero came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Abbott AFC's Florencio Sotero. But to his dismay, Florencio Sotero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. With a little luck, Deportivo Mate Amargo's Godofredo Cefero got control of the ball when Marcelo Evarado tried to sneak it across the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mate Amargo's goalkeeper Godofredo Cefero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Evarado. After 87 played minutes Deportivo Mate Amargo got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Dolcet. A collision led to Deportivo Mate Amargo getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Deportivo Mate Amargo. Abbott AFC played a much better game than Deportivo Mate Amargo and deserved their victory. The Deportivo Mate Amargo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
