The supporters of ArTifon juniors booed when Catamarca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torjus Tøllefsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Abastas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörgen Lövskog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute, Celestino Pelayo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ArTifon juniors's Alejandro Haimar got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sven-Åke Asplund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Rosio in the 20th minute of the match. Marco Llin kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Alejandro Haimar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ArTifon juniors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejandro Haimar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 34 minutes, Marco Llin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catamarca FC and the ArTifon juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alberto Abastas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jörgen Lövskog's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Alberto Abastas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Guillelme in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, ArTifon juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Jörgen Lövskog came free, but Alberto Abastas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Damian Rosio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ArTifon juniors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0.

Alejandro Haimar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Abastas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santo Guillelme, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Catamarca FC's Jörgen Lövskog sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alberto Abastas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The nice shot from Jörgen Lövskog in the 87thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Alberto Abastas had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 88thth minute of the game Jörgen Lövskog who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ArTifon juniors's Alberto Abastas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Modesto Cordara during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 91 played minutes ArTifon juniors got a freekick which was hit by Modesto Cordara. After a rather tough play, Catamarca FC's Marco Llin got a free kick in the 96th minute.
