The referee ignored Nueva Luna's protests and gave Eloy Dalmai a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Nueva Luna's Eloy Dalmai got a free kick in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavino Miro in the 12th minute of play forced JmV's goalkeeper Joel Danel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th match minute, JmV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lyuboslav Nelchinov to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to JmV getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Luisito Isias hit a great ball. JmV's Gabriel Sanchez was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 17th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. JmV made a substitution. Paulo Birjaio replaced Florentino Segio. Hugo Argoitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Sanchez in the 23rd minute of play. With 24 minutes on the clock, Luisito Isias commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 24 minutes into the game, one of JmV:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 29th match minute, JmV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Laffitte to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 30 minutes, Anselmo Suero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nueva Luna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Suero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Danel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gavino Miro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the match, JmV's goal looked a bit too open when Gavino Miro came free, but Joel Danel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Danel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavino Miro in the 46th minute of play. Joel Danel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eloy Dalmai in the 47th minute of the match. When Eloy Dalmai got free in front of the goal in the 47th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Joel Danel was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blas Beat made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, JmV's goal looked a bit too open when Blas Beat came free, but Joel Danel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Nueva Luna's Eloy Dalmai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Danel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. JmV's attentive Elpidio Taurino managed to snatch the ball when Leo Umea made a throw-in in the 59th minute of the game. Gabriel Sanchez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 70 minutes into the match, JmV's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Dalmai came free, but Joel Danel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Nueva Luna's Eleuterio Maria got a free kick in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the game, Gabriel Sanchez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Hugo Argoitz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anselmo Suero charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anselmo Suero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th minute Blas Beat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Danel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nueva Luna's Hugo Argoitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Sanchez in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute Blas Beat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Danel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
