The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Camilo Cresencio during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute, Maquinistas Navales's Alan Shearer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Rubinho Valladares might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melchor Osoro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rubinho Valladares ran back to his position shaking his head. 24 minutes into the match, Rubinho Valladares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Melchor Osoro. Juega Duro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rubinho Valladares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Alan Shearer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Melchor Osoro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alan Shearer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 36 minutes into the match, Juega Duro FC's goalkeeper Melchor Osoro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rubinho Valladares. Juega Duro FC's Melchor Osoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Shearer in the 40th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Silvio Rito got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.

Maquinistas Navales's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvio Rito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute, Rubinho Valladares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Melchor Osoro was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Alan Shearer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Melchor Osoro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvestre Matia's late challenge caught a Maquinistas Navales's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvestre Matia helped the player get up and apologised. Juega Duro FC's Melchor Osoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvio Rito in the 67th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Isidoro Artizar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Juega Duro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maquinistas Navales the free kick. Salvador Olo hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The Maquinistas Navales fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0.
