Marco Euloxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Berdoi having to interfere. The supporters of Saladillo booed when C.S.D. Barranca Yaco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Lucila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cipriano Montrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceferino Lucila in the 13th minute of play. Martin Berdoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramon Alvarez in the 17th minute. In the 17th minute, Ceferino Lucila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramon Alvarez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute Serafino Lorien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Montrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ramon Alvarez struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Martin Berdoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saladillo. If Ramon Alvarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ramon Alvarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Berdoi having to interfere.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Serafino Lorien made a kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Mateo Escobar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Cipriano Montrell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 60th minute, Ramon Alvarez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Berdoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Ramon Alvarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, C.S.D. Barranca Yaco's Cipriano Montrell threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Serafino Lorien, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 71 minutes, Ramon Alvarez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saladillo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramon Alvarez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Euloxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Berdoi having to interfere. If Ramon Alvarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saladillo's Cipriano Montrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Lucila in the 81st minute of play. Cipriano Montrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceferino Lucila, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Marco Euloxu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute of the match Ildefonso Ricart sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Berdoi skillfully saved the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. C.S.D. Barranca Yaco walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
