Spectators: 7329 (Terracing: 5498, Seating: 1686, VIP seats: 145) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Witalis Kosel kicked off to start the match. When Gabriel Beliran came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Beliran couldn't finish the play. Thunders's Rosendo Umea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Beliran in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto's Gabriel Beliran got a free kick in the 13th minute. Rosendo Umea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witalis Kosel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Hori scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rosendo Umea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Beliran in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rosendo Umea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gabriel Beliran took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rosendo Umea. Rosendo Umea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Thunders's zone, Witalis Kosel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rosendo Umea came out of the goal and Witalis Kosel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Witalis Kosel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rosendo Umea was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. In the 40th minute Roberto Hori shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Umea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute Gabriel Beliran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Umea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Witalis Kosel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Witalis Kosel might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rosendo Umea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Witalis Kosel ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Rodolfo Cordarryl took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Rosendo Umea to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Domiku in the 59th minute of play forced Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto's goalkeeper Nicolas Nuno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Domiku might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicolas Nuno. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abel Domiku ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Thunders getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Angelino Bautista hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Gabriel Beliran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto's goal looked a bit too open when German Otsoa came free, but Nicolas Nuno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Thunders getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Angelino Bautista hit a great ball. In the 72ndth minute of the game Witalis Kosel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thunders's Rosendo Umea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 73rd match minute, Thunders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelino Bautista to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, Roberto Hori had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rosendo Umea. Thunders's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roberto Hori was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After 82 minutes of play, Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto's Roberto Hori made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rosendo Umea was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rodolfo Cordarryl hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Rosendo Umea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gabriel Beliran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Thunders throughout the match.
