Witalis Kosel scored 1-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rosendo Umea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Roberto Hori kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rosendo Umea. That made the score 2-0 in the 11 minute of play. If Gabriel Beliran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Marcin Lanczak hit a great ball. In the 20th minute, Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto's Gabriel Beliran ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rosendo Umea. Rosendo Umea yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Thunders's Rosendo Umea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Thunders from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Thunders's Cristian Canor got a free kick in the 28th minute. Rosendo Umea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Witalis Kosel in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute Gabriel Beliran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Umea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 minutes, Albino Garci mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thunders and the Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto players grew even worse after the yellow card. The wind increased when Orlando Erramu made the kick off in the second half. Venancio Lalla's late challenge caught a Thunders's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Venancio Lalla helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Thunders booed when Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rosendo Umea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Beliran in the 65th minute of play. In the 65th match minute, Thunders was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Canor to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Witalis Kosel sped through Thunders's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rosendo Umea. Nicolas Nuno made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Cristian Canor sent off a good shot on target. After 75 minutes of play, Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto's Marcin Lanczak made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rosendo Umea was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rosendo Umea came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto's Witalis Kosel. But to his dismay, Witalis Kosel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-1. Marcin Lanczak took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rosendo Umea. Rosendo Umea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto's Gabriel Beliran got a free kick in the 95th minute.
