The audience was convinced that Nuno Schmidt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Camilo Montay was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 15th minute, Americo Tonio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Montay was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 17th minute, Teodoro Leoncio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonas Solustiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Omar Irrintzi made a huge save. Omar Irrintzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Urbasa in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Azhor FC booed when Tandil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benicio Urbes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Azhor FC's goalkeeper Camilo Montay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 93 minutes, Arturo Piarres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tandil FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Piarres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Omar Irrintzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Solustiano in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Tandil FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
