Horacio Feliu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severiano Magdaleno in the 7th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Ernesto Victoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Herminio Bidun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th match minute, Racing BA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Tonio to maneuver through the defense. Severiano Magdaleno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 28 played minutes Oktober 1979 got a freekick which was hit by Mariano Txindoki. Severiano Magdaleno struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Horacio Feliu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing BA. Severiano Magdaleno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Horacio Feliu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Bidun in the 37th minute of play forced Oktober 1979's goalkeeper Horacio Feliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Severiano Magdaleno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horacio Feliu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After the first half Racing BA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Godfredo Ortle was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Oktober 1979 getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Mariano Txindoki hit a great ball. Horacio Feliu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severiano Magdaleno in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Oktober 1979's zone, Luis Tonio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horacio Feliu came out of the goal and Luis Tonio tried to chip the ball over his head. Inocencio Ixidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herminio Bidun hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Marcelo Luix charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcelo Luix the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th minute, Marcelo Luix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severiano Magdaleno who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Horacio Feliu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Racing BA players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
