Marcos Lopez scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Saul Pirro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the game, Marcos Lopez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Saul Pirro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Atahona FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Melchor Emeterio hit a great ball. After 30 played minutes Atahona FC got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Soin. After a rather tough play, Atahona FC's Ignacio Soin got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 34 played minutes Atahona FC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Moise. Ignacio Soin struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Saul Pirro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atahona FC. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Lopez to make the kick off. Maco's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Marcos Lopez scored to the left of an out of position Saul Pirro, making the score, 0-3. A collision led to Maco getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Celso Maurino hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the game, Marcos Lopez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Saul Pirro. Marcos Lopez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Ignacio Soin hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Justino Ascencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Pirro having to interfere. If Isidro Ruy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Argi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Aresti having to interfere. Rodrigo Etxahun struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Saul Pirro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atahona FC. In the 85th minute, Marcos Lopez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atahona FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. After 88 minutes, Filiberto Sazon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atahona FC and the Maco players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th match minute, Atahona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiberto Sazon to maneuver through the defense. Alvaro Aresti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidro Ruy in the 96th minute of the match. The Maco fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Atahona FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
