Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Isaac Llorian started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquilino Firmo in the 5th minute of play forced Lanús FC's goalkeeper Emilio Benvide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aquilino Firmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Emilio Benvide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. INDEPENDIENTE's Isaac Llorian got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 16 minutes, Generoso Cordario mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INDEPENDIENTE and the Lanús FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Generoso Cordario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaac Llorian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. INDEPENDIENTE's Aquilino Firmo got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Lanús FC's Victor Astudillo got a free kick in the 26th minute. Carlos Teyo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Lanús FC's Dionisio Serafo was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 33rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Isaac Llorian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 43 minutes, Isaac Llorian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INDEPENDIENTE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaac Llorian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dionisio Serafo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE's Aquilino Firmo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emilio Benvide narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Llorian in the 55th minute of play forced Lanús FC's goalkeeper Emilio Benvide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 65 played minutes INDEPENDIENTE got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Llorian. In the 67th minute, Dionisio Serafo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute, Isaac Llorian made a precise shot to the right of Emilio Benvide. Lanús FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. INDEPENDIENTE's Isaac Llorian got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isaac Llorian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Emilio Benvide made a huge save. Emilio Benvide made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Isaac Llorian sent off a good shot on target. If Isaac Llorian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isaac Llorian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 96 minutes, Isaac Jerico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lanús FC and the INDEPENDIENTE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Isaac Jerico kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. INDEPENDIENTE's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
