The audience was convinced that Teo Raitin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Lucero was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. After 48 minutes, Arnoldo Carlomagno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tigre and the INDEPENDIENTE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tigre's Arnoldo Carlomagno got a free kick in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isaac Llorian was the one to do the kick off. If Victoriano Rolado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the INDEPENDIENTE players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
