The Andino S.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodrigo Cortez should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erubiel Malvin in the 38th minute of play forced Andino S.C's goalkeeper Rodrigo Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erubiel Malvin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodrigo Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Piarres in the 41st minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, Fernando Camerino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Andino S.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Libertad Sporting Club the free kick. The supporters of Libertad Sporting Club booed when Andino S.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Camerino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrigo Cortez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Rodrigo Cortez managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Libertad Sporting Club's Tomas Piarres fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Libertad Sporting Club's goalkeeper Anibal Vedillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Andino S.C getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ramiro Solustiano hit a great ball. Erubiel Malvin struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Rodrigo Cortez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Libertad Sporting Club. Augusto Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Erubiel Malvin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Piarres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Cortez having to interfere. Libertad Sporting Club's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
