Saul Ladio was slow to take the kick. During this time INDEPENDIENTE's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Saul Ladio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rodrigo Cortez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Carlos Lucero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ermegildo Enekoitz went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After having played for 25 minutes, Isaac Llorian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INDEPENDIENTE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaac Llorian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee ignored Andino S.C's protests and gave Ramiro Solustiano a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of INDEPENDIENTE booed when Andino S.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Solustiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Andino S.C's zone, Isaac Llorian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Cortez came out of the goal and Isaac Llorian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isaac Llorian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Rodrigo Cortez made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaac Llorian got free with Rodrigo Cortez in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 75 played minutes Andino S.C got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Jaunti. Aquilino Firmo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigo Cortez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE's Isaac Llorian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodrigo Cortez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Severo Isidor kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Isaac Llorian struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Rodrigo Cortez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INDEPENDIENTE. INDEPENDIENTE were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
