Isaac Llorian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Vedillo having to interfere. Isaac Llorian in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anibal Vedillo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 23rd minute, Isaac Llorian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Anacleto Goyo fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Libertad Sporting Club's protests and gave Anacleto Goyo a yellow card for diving instead. Anacleto Goyo kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Isaac Llorian struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Anibal Vedillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INDEPENDIENTE. If Tomas Piarres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Generoso Cordario kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Anibal Vedillo made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Aquilino Firmo sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Lucero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Piarres in the 42nd minute of play. Generoso Cordario's late challenge caught a Libertad Sporting Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Generoso Cordario helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd minute, Generoso Cordario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, INDEPENDIENTE's Generoso Cordario got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute of the match Saturnino Sayveon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Lucero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Tomas Piarres made the kick off in the second half. Tomas Piarres charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Piarres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 51 played minutes Libertad Sporting Club got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Piarres. Anibal Vedillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Llorian, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 53 minutes into the match, Aquilino Firmo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anibal Vedillo. Libertad Sporting Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aquilino Firmo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquilino Firmo in the 68th minute of play forced Libertad Sporting Club's goalkeeper Anibal Vedillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Libertad Sporting Club's Anibal Vedillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaac Llorian in the 69th minute of play. Isaac Llorian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Ismael Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Filomeno Jon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. INDEPENDIENTE were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
