In the 36thth minute of the game Zacarias Ixona who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Taurus's Ovidio Caitano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Taurus's Ovidio Caitano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zacarias Ixona in the 37th minute of play. A collision led to Taurus getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Uriel Santikurtz hit a great ball. Ovidio Caitano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimiro Nayely, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After having played for 42 minutes, Zacarias Ixona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Semen Padang AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zacarias Ixona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ceferino Kimetz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Semen Padang AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaston Cordarrol stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Higinio Henry showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Gaston Cordarrol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Zacarias Ixona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Ovidio Caitano made a huge save. Higinio Henry blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ovidio Caitano having to make a save. Vladimiro Nayely took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ovidio Caitano. Taurus's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 92 minutes, Ceferino Kimetz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Semen Padang AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ceferino Kimetz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Zacarias Ixona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Semen Padang AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zacarias Ixona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidio Caitano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Semen Padang AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Taurus throughout the match.
