After a defensive mix-up in ALMAGRO JRS's zone, Robustiano Urtun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Gai came out of the goal and Robustiano Urtun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Gai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Cordarrol in the 78th minute of the match. If Honorio Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 82nd minute Rafael Gitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Gai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 86 played minutes ALMAGRO JRS got a freekick which was hit by Leon Diegotxe. Honorio Ireno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Caitano having to interfere. When the match was over ALMAGRO JRS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Taurus throughout the match.
