Rogelio Lucado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Sanduru in the 44th minute of play. If Luciano Sanduru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serafino Kaiet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched UD Las Palmas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
