Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) ElpataFC's Leonardo Christobal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of ElpataFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Olimpija FC:s goal. Cristobal Duarte had in the 4thth minute some difficulties stopping Manuel Mikeldi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 4th minute, Manuel Mikeldi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristobal Duarte was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. A collision led to ElpataFC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ricardo Lain hit a great ball. After 12 minutes, Higinio Guillelmus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olimpija FC and the ElpataFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 12 played minutes Olimpija FC got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Guillelmus. Severiano Guib showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Enaut in the 16th minute of the match. If Leonardo Christobal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. David Johans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 21 played minutes ElpataFC got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Darien. Severiano Guib took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Lain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th match minute, ElpataFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Baumer to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Olimpija FC's Manuel Mikeldi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 41 minutes of play, ElpataFC's Leonardo Christobal made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severiano Guib was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristobal Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saul Lizbeth, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Ricardo Lain hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Olimpija FC's Severiano Guib proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Olimpija FC from getting a goal against them. Saul Lizbeth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Denis Baumer hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saul Lizbeth in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristobal Duarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th minute, Ricardo Lain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 70 minutes, Ricardo Lain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ElpataFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Lain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Marciano Gartzea fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ElpataFC's protests and gave Marciano Gartzea a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, ElpataFC's Marciano Gartzea got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Ricardo Lain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Severiano Guib made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Leonardo Christobal sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Lizbeth in the 80th minute of play forced ElpataFC's goalkeeper Cristobal Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ElpataFC's Ricardo Lain got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute. The referee ordered Ricardo Lain off the ground. Cristobal Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Lizbeth in the 87th minute of the match. With a little luck, Olimpija FC's Severiano Guib got control of the ball when Leonardo Christobal tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 96 minutes, Manuel Mikeldi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olimpija FC and the ElpataFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Olimpija FC's Manuel Mikeldi got a free kick in the 96th minute. ElpataFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
