Bernardo Iaki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Arixo, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 40thth minute of the game Pedro Cordareo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Larrea AFC's Esteban Roderigo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Larrea AFC's zone, Pedro Cordareo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteban Roderigo came out of the goal and Pedro Cordareo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 48 played minutes, Larrea AFC's Godofredo Constancio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bernardo Iaki came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Larrea AFC reached it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ferro carril Oeste fully deserved thier win.
