After having played for 16 minutes, Fernando Liher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vélez Sarsfield de Rio IV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Liher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 39 played minutes Emporioneta got a freekick which was hit by Romulo Eguerdi. After a defensive mix-up in Emporioneta's zone, Fernando Liher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquiles Bertin came out of the goal and Fernando Liher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Emporioneta's Sergio Michael in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustavo Mendiko made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Michael in the 52nd minute of play forced Vélez Sarsfield de Rio IV's goalkeeper Pascual Enmanuel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 53 played minutes Emporioneta got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Gervaso. If Gustavo Mendiko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 63 played minutes Emporioneta got a freekick which was hit by Godfredo Argi.
