After a defensive mix-up in Don Fermin's zone, Haroldo Barto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Viviano came out of the goal and Haroldo Barto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th match minute, Don Fermin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelino Casomiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Ernesto Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joaquin Adrio made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Eloy Fero sent off a good shot on target. Isla Ortigia's Haroldo Barto got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roman Ovando received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joaquin Adrio came out and tried to block the shot, but Roman Ovando slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eloy Fero was the one to do the kick off. Roman Ovando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abel Viviano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Fero in the 58th minute of play forced Isla Ortigia's goalkeeper Joaquin Adrio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a left leg Joaquin Adrio saved Isla Ortigia from getting behind. 83 minutes into the match, Isla Ortigia's goal looked a bit too open when Eloy Fero came free, but Joaquin Adrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85thth minute of the game Eloy Fero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Isla Ortigia's Joaquin Adrio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eloy Fero in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Adrio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquin Adrio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Fero in the 87th minute of play. If Eloy Fero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
