The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Esteve Mouricio charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Atilano Txerran kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After 7 played minutes, Chelcos's Hector Rencio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Reynaldo Barrionuevo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chelcos reached it. 9 minutes into the match, Esteve Mouricio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edgard Jerardo, 1-0. Edgard Jerardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteve Mouricio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteve Mouricio in the 16th minute of play forced Chelcos's goalkeeper Edgard Jerardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Chelcos's goal looked a bit too open when Esteve Mouricio came free, but Edgard Jerardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgard Jerardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteve Mouricio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 minutes of play, Chelcos's Teodoro Jago made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo Barrionuevo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Reynaldo Barrionuevo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roberto Olando went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

54 minutes into the match, Moretti Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Reynaldo Barrionuevo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hector Rencio. Chelcos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hermengildo Tomi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Reynaldo Barrionuevo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Olando in the 66th minute of play. Chelcos's Teodoro Jago got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chelcos's Robustiano Bernaldo got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Honorato Bladi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reynaldo Barrionuevo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Moretti Fútbol Club's Gervasio Ferrer got a free kick in the 73rd minute. 79 minutes into the match, Moretti Fútbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Olando came free, but Reynaldo Barrionuevo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
